Including photos in your blog and social media posts is essential. According to an infographic by Kissmetrics, posts with images receive 84% more clicks, 54% more likes, and 104% more comments. Using images works because they catch your attention as you scroll through Facebook or Twitter, and they encourage organic interactions.

The question is; where to you find compelling, eye-grabbing images? Here are a few of our suggestions.

1.Is there a photographer in your office? You never know if someone in your office has a hidden talent for photography (and hopefully a nice camera to accompany it). Ask around and recruit people to take pictures at your next office event. Then turn the pictures into your next blog post.

2.Post pictures of what’s happening right now. Social media sites are based around the concept of documenting current life events. Companies like Starbucks and Taco Bell market with this in mind by posting images (such as a hand holding a latte or a half-eaten taco) that make it look like someone is enjoying their product right now; therefore, you should too!

You can easily copy this strategy using your smartphone camera. Try posting pictures of the productivity going on in your office, people off to their first day of their new job, or mini-bios on your recruiters. Keep in mind the things that resonate with your customers: success, jobs, and recruiters they can relate to. Show that your company is active, helpful, and relatable, and people will want to be a part of what you’re doing.

3.Search for free-use images. Today, many websites offer free-use images for bloggers and web developers. Use the advanced search options on Google to filter free-use images, or search through the websites below. Remember to check the website’s regulations on commercial use. All of these will allow you to use images free on your website, blog, etc., but not all allow for redistribution.
