Michael Stelzner, the Founder of the popular blog Social Media Examiner, recently published a report on the state of social media in industry. While ASJ Partners shared in detail statistics from the HubSpot report, it seems a good idea to promote a balanced view. Plus, the presentation of information is a bit different and offers scrutiny of some interesting statistics.

Let’s take look at some of the standout findings:
1.Marketers place a high value on social media
2.Tactics and engagement are on everyone’s priority list
3.YouTube is the frontier examined for the future by nearly 70% of respondents
4.Growing blogging captured nearly 70% of the marketing strategy
5.Podcasting is done by 5% but 32% want to learn more about it
6.Facebook and LinkedIn are used by most

Questions reveal most people float in the same ark.

Stelzner’s survey targeted the top questions that are on every marketer’s doorstep. Everyone is concerned about using appropriate and effective tactics to engage and grow their audience, and everyone talks about metrics to prove the value of their efforts, but two points of interest emerged in this survey:
1.Marketing tools (or Marketing resources who expertly apply tools) to simplify the social media process are needed by 84% of the respondents.
2.Nearly 85% said they need a smart social media strategy.
